2016 has a been an odd year for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

While things have been financially bleak where even this event’s occurrence was questionable three days prior, TNA has been rechristened with its most vivacious creative direction yet.

There was a lot to flaunt about – the payoff to many feuds like The Miracle-Moose and TNA Knockouts Champion Maria-Gail Kim to name a few.

The show was undoubtedly headlined by the biggest match they could offer for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship between unstoppable heel Champion Lashley and his biggest threat, Ethan Carter III, who looked to become an “EC3-time Champion.”

Add to that the absurdly brilliant “Great War” between TNA World Tag Team Champions Decay and The Broken Hardys, BFG almost made us forget last year’s show.

Celebratory Warfare

The Momentum Swings

– The opening video highlighted the recent Global Force Wrestling “hostile takeover” of the place Jeff Jarrett once called home, and how the Team TNA-Team GFW match materialized for ultimate control of the company. Also featured was TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III retaining his Title, making Jeff Hardy his new personal assistant.

(Aired 8/26/15)

Decisions, Decisions

– The opening video talked about Jeff Jarrett offering to run Impact when “The Law” Bully Ray was attacked (bet TNA feels stupid mentioning his likeness now), also looking at the attack on Drew Galloway backstage and PJ Black winning the King Of The Mountain Championship. Hyped were three random Championship matches – a three-way for the X-Division Championship with DJZ, Sonjay Dutt and Tigre Uno, Velvet Sky vs. Brooke for the Knockouts Championship (how did she earn that?) and Abyss/Manik vs. The Wolves for the TNA Tag Team Championships (same goes for them too).

Turning Point 2015

– The opening video looked back at last week’s TNA/Global Force Wrestling “supershow,” with TNA getting two out of three victories, with GFW’s PJ Black winning the King Of The Mountain Championship, earning the right to face TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III later on. Also hyped for this “Turning Point”-themed episode was Mr. Anderson vs. Bram in an “Open Mic” match and Gail Kim vs. Marti Bell/Jade in Six Sides Of Steel.

Jarrett Struts Into Fame

– To the night’s credit: there was a fair amount of hype for the episode, as we got the big payoff match with Mickie James/Magnus against James Storm/Serena, what stipulation Matt Hardy would pick for his TNA World Heavyweight Championship match against Champion Ethan Carter III and of course, the biggie – Jeff Jarrett’s induction into the Hall Of Fame this year.

(Aired 7/22/15)

Always Room For One More

– Dixie Carter started the show by announcing the latest 2015 TNA Hall Of Fame Inductee was Jeff Jarrett, of course pushing his actual acceptance of it to next week. Odd way to start things out, since it paid homage to a guy who is running a different company, though he’ll probably be a prominent part of storylines in due time. We called it first.

Can’t Fight The Law

– The opening video highlighted Ethan Carter III’s “reign of supreme” last week and how he got himself out of a Title defense against Kurt Angle, culminating in a verbal showdown with Dixie Carter where she said she knew who’d be in charge and EC3 wasn’t it, hyping the reveal of a new power. Tiny little bit of intrigue there.
