Bleacher Creatures

– The opening video gave us a recap of ongoing storylines with talent we’d see on the episode – El Dragon Azteca Jr. wanting to prove his own legacy to Rey Mysterio Jr., Captain Vasquez’s new “Luchador” mission for Officer Reyes to go back into the Temple with a mask to continue his infiltration of Dario Cueto from the inside, Famous B’s proposal to guide Texano and Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo’s goal to take The Mack (his newest challenger) to “Slam Town,” since we last found out that they’d go at it for the belt in an “All Night Long” bout.

A Famous Opportunity

– The opening video recapped current storylines – Angelico returned to cast revenge against Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo, only to have a restraining order against him. Cage and Texano battled in a Best-Of-Five Series to determine who’d get Dario Cueto’s “Ultimate Opportunity,” as Cage currently had a 2-1 lead. Jeremiah Crane wanted to get his hands on Mil Muertes, as a way to get back at Catrina, whom was a former love interest. Lastly and most interesting, after weeks of declining Vampiro’s advice, Prince Puma finally listened and paid Grave Consequences. In the afterlife, Vampiro called for him to follow.

Armbreaker Hotel

– The opening video hyped the Gauntlet match where Pentagon Dark would face all members of The Black Lotus Triad, with the catch that it wasn’t over until he faced all four members. This stemmed back from when BLT debuted in Aztec Warfare III with an attack on Pentagon, revenge from when he broke Black Lotus’ arm at Ultima Lucha Dos. At least there was lengthy history. Since this was the only storyline featured, we assumed this would magically take up the whole hour.

Gravest Consequences

– The opening video featured the Son Of Havoc/Mascarita Sagrada-Famous B/Dr. Wagner, Jr. feud that led to a “Believer’s Backlash” match where any weapon was legal as well as Prince Puma’s challenge for Mil Muertes in Grave Consequences. This seemed to be the culmination of their feud that rechristened this season. Let the fun begin.

Loser Leaves Lucha

– As the title suggests, we were back to fun and high stakes in the Temple. There’d be no other way to have it. The opening video focused on Joey Ryan’s reveal of Cortez Castro to be an undercover cop against Dario Cueto and the “Loser Leaves Lucha” feud between Rey Mysterio Jr. and Chavo Guerrero Jr., as it got to the point where Mysterio couldn’t advance with his career unless him and Guerrero reached a formidable conclusion.

Stayin’ Alive

– The opening video highlighted the Best-Of-Five Series between Cage and Texano where Cage held a 2-0 lead, reminded us of Johnny Mundo’s relentless quest to have anything to do with the Lucha Underground Championship as his attempt to buy his way in with Dario Cueto worked since this episode’s main event would see Mundo challenge Lucha Underground Gift Of The Gods Champion Sexy Star for the belt. Finally, we saw the last interaction between Ivelisse and her new boyfriend Jeremiah, or the former Sami Callihan/Solomon Crowe. With this ensemble, we had potential for another easy week in the Temple.

Red Dead Redemption

– The opening video wrapped in Vampiro’s “pep talk” to Prince Puma to take out Mil Muertes to revitalize his career, Killshot’s “You left me for dead” letter from an anonymous source, Dario Cueto’s continued refusals to give in to Johnny Mundo’s requests for Title shots and lastly, Dario’s Dial Of Doom (Raw Roulette to determine opponents for his brother, Lucha Underground Champion Matanza Cueto) which saw Puma come closer than most to defeating Matanza, but because of MM/Catrina, it went up in smoke.

In The Cards

– Season Three’s wheels roll on, as we’ve seen Dario Cueto brandish his new concept called “Dario’s Dial Of Doom,” which is essentially Raw Roulette to decide new challengers for his brother, Lucha Underground Champion Matanza Cueto. A funny parody of an idea taken too seriously, there were some credible names present. The opening video showed the latest victim when The Mack was unsuccessful in his attempt to uncrown the Monster. Again, Vampiro’s suggestion to Prince Puma to “go after the big guy” Mil Muertes was emphasized as we saw a glimpse of their past physicality. Also shown was the first match of the Best-Of-Five Series between Texano and Cage for “The Ultimate Opportunity” where Cage emerged the winner.

Atomicos

– The opening video mainly focused on the quarrel between Rey Mysterio Jr/Dragon Azteca Jr./Chavo Guerrero Jr., The Worldwide Underground, when Joey Ryan “sold out” Officer Reyes to Dario Cueto and progression of Prince Puma-Mil Muertes feud that began when Vampiro pep-talked Puma to take out the big man.

WMD

– Lucha Underground’s third season has shown potential to the throwback days of when it kicked ass in the first season, so we’d welcome more of that. The opening video focused on Dario Cueto as he reopened the Temple. Also highlighted was Famous B’s betrayal of his first client, Mascarita Sagrada in sinister fashion. We also were thrown back to the announcement of the “Weapons Of Mass Destruction” match to take place on the show between Killshot and Marty “The Moth” Martinez.
