First Stop On the Farewell Tour
– The opening video provided fair hype on recent storylines – TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III getting his groove back by defeating Lashley and Matt Hardy in one night to end the TNA World Title Series on top. Another big focus was the first match of Kurt Angle’s esteemed “farewell tour,” as he’d battle Drew Galloway.

Final Destination
– With this likely being the last episode of the “Destination America Era,” TNA took the next two hours to put focus on the final four competitors of the TNA World Title Series – Matt Hardy, Ethan Carter III, Eric Young and Bobby Lashley. It’s fitting given that these four were arguably the biggest stars of the year for the company where others left or fell short. Also in this filler-ific edition were two matches – an Eight-Man Tag between Group Future Four (Jessie Godderz, Eli Drake, Micah, Crimson) and Group X-Division (Manik, X-Division Champion Tigre Uno, Mandrews, DJZ) as well as a Four-Way Elimination match involving Bobby Roode, Rockstar Spud, Mr. Anderson and Eddie Edwards.

To The Victor Go No Spoils
– The opening video highlighted last week’s TNA World Title Series happenings – Madison Rayne showing some actual personality en route to defeating Brooke to get on the board of Group Knockouts to make it a four-way tie at three points, both members of The Wolves went to a sizzling draw and Eric Young Piledrove his way to make Group Champions a four-way tie. Hyped for later on was Gail Kim-Rayne (Group Knockouts), Matt Hardy-Eddie Edwards (Group Tag Team Specialists) and Ethan Carter III-Mr. Anderson (Group Champions) as the Round of 16 was beginning to take shape, Hardy already in.

Kim And Kong Battle Once More
– The opening video highlighted last week’s happenings – Mr. Anderson being eliminated mathematically by losing to Austin Aries and Ethan Carter III pulling out all the cheap stops to beat Lashley to stand atop the Group Champions leaderboard. Hyped for action was Matt Hardy – eager to get back his old gold, as well as matches from Group X-Division and Group Knockouts, particularly a Gail Kim-Awesome Kong battle, which is always a good thing. We do have to applaud TNA for making the most out of old, recycled material. Maybe they should adopt this tournament style more often, as it gives the matches and shows purpose.

Night Of The One Percenter
– The opening video again highlighted the background story of how the World Title Series came to be, when Matt Hardy was forced to relinquish the TNA World Heavyweight Championship he won at Bound For Glory, beating then-Champion Ethan Carter III and Drew Galloway in a three-way dance. Also in the video, we ran through all of last week’s winners/leaderboard first-place guys. Hyped for the show also were four matches from respective groups: Group X-Division (Mandrews Vs. X-Division Champion Tigre Uno, Manik Vs. DJZ) and Group Champions (Mr. Anderson Vs. Austin Aries, EC3 Vs. Lashley) and at least we knew with these set of shows, wrestling was going to be the biggest focus, along with more recent promo work from all parties involved. That said, now that it’s a few weeks in, we really dig the “sports show” vibe the show has given us, especially how in-depth Josh Matthews and The Pope go when they bring up the leaderboards and running through all scenarios and individual situations for everyone involved.

A New Kind Of Fall Classic
– Given TNA’s circumstances of an awkward taping schedule that leaves things outdated and a conclusion of a live Pay-Per-View that had a “happy ending” with Matt Hardy becoming the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion by pinning Drew Galloway in a three-way that also involved Ethan Carter III, they had to find some way to connect a makeshift tournament to randomly taped matches to “find a new Champion.” How is this possible, you ask? EC3 filed an injunction against Matt since he was taken out of the match by the Special Guest Referee Jeff Hardy – Matt’s brother. Said injunction prevents Matt from appearing on Impact with the Title. Matt, the company savior, relinquishes the Title to avoid further legal trouble that would leave the company without a Champion for months. Keep in mind this all went down in a matter of about three days after the PPV. The online wrestling world found it surprising and laughable – not in the cool way either.
TNA Bound For Glory 2015 Reaction

When you have a dud like Slammiversary, there’s nowhere to go but up, right?
While we had moments that brought back memories of that terrible night (ongoing audio technical difficulties, inexcusable announcing blunders, questionable booking decisions), the good news was that an excitable opener and final 90 minutes were enough to salvage the night for any wrestling fan.
However, TNA’s still TNA and it’ll take a while for them to move ahead of this show with any momentum, main event finish aside.
TNA Bound For Glory 2015 Preview/Predictions

It’s a safe assumption that TNA hasn’t had the brightest year, with the nearing end of their national television deal, loss of numerous talents because of their impending financial struggles and the list goes on.
That said, the last few weeks of TNA television have showed great potential for storylines, with the exception of the whole Global Force Wrestling invasion, which essentially was presented as “Jeff Jarrett and his band of goons take over,” which didn’t give us much of anything, but helped shape the main event as we see it now.
It’s a bit baffling that Jeff Hardy, a guy who’s arguably the most popular on the roster and was already involved in storylines with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III for a few months, even with his brother also entangled, wasn’t the guy to get a Title shot on the biggest night of the year.
Instead, that honor went to upstart Drew Galloway (the former Drew McIntyre) and Matt Hardy, where Jeff will serve as special guest referee. We’ll be honest, it’s an okay main event, but if the plan is for Jeff to eventually become Champion anyway and both Matt and Galloway have already received (and lost) against EC3, what’s the point of holding off on it?
Yes, we know Jeff Hardy can’t come to the United Kingdom and TNA has a bigger audience overseas, but it only seems like the right way to go here, for a company that honestly needs the momentum. With both Hardys strongly rumored to join WWE by 2016, this could be the moment TNA regrets not booking Jeff in the match directly to win it.
All things considered, the card for BFG isn’t a bad one, but we can see where overbooking can mess it all up. If TNA just gives us straight out quality wrestling with distractions as minimal as possible, we can be talking about a show that actually gives the company some positive buzz.

A Glorious Countdown
– The opening video highlighted Drew Galloway beating The Wolves, Bobby Lashley and Bram in an elimination style match to earn a Title shot at Bound For Glory against TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III. Set up as Galloway’s biggest career moment to date, it came off well.
