– The Beast The Butcher-Julian Whyt match was probably another easy way to get the newly turned babyface Whyt a viable victory over a scary individual like Butcher, though Butcher’s stock has fallen since he became horror movie jobber fodder. Whyt now had family support and Commentator Blake Chadwick mentioned he was “around to do it right.” Can’t they say “Do It Whyt?” as that’d be much better. Good detail by commentary on Butcher’s attire that appeared to have skin that hanged, maybe he was in a cement mixer? A springboard forearm led to the win, but then Butcher chased him backstage immediately afterwards, so we guess that’s a thing?

Go With The Fro
– Matt Striker came out decked in Rush gear, as Blake Chadwick checked in on commentary. Guess he did good enough last week? Sweet. “The Irish Juggernaut” Mikey O’Shea was his opponent. Apparently, he waited a year and a half to get redemption on Striker. We don’t even remember them having any conflicts. Can’t you just bury a hatchet, O’Shea? If the idea is to build O’Shea back up from last week’s loss in an attempt to win the WCWC Tag Team Championships with Damian Drake, we get him being in the ring with the veteran Striker. Smart matchup actually. Striker struck a flatliner, attempted a Pedigree and hit a Codebreaker, all for a two count. Geez, WWE much? They flirted with a Gunslinger finish, but they countered around each other (to the point where it looked like a ballroom dance routine) to where Striker finally hit the Pedigree to get the pin. Not sure why he’d need the clean win here, though it emphasized the Heart Strike as another move in his arsenal. What an emo maneuver.

Chair For A Chair
– We start out with the unfortunate note that Ethan HD/Kate Carney were cut out from the opening montage and their plug for Burger Box disappeared too, so that’s not good. Anyways, Caleb Konley marches to the ring and declares his infinite hate for one Mikey O’Shea, as he promised in a pre-taped promo to squash “the cockroach” for good. Meh. They’ll probably fight again in three weeks. Did O’Shea watch his promo beforehand since he already knew what Konley called him? Also didn’t know O’Shea was from New York, but even so, is being a “New York Cockroach” a redeemable quality? It was noted that Konley won their last two matches, which sounds right. There was a little botch where O’Shea was supposed to catch Konley as he did a cross body to the floor. They covered it well though. Sort of silly to waste a replay on a guy being thrown into the ring post. It’s kind of an everyday occurrence. To answer Konley’s frustrated question of how many times he’ll need to beat O’Shea, approximately 167. Konley brought in a chair, which began a tug of war. O’Shea won it, but the referee came to as he wielded it around. One look at Konley “selling” that he was hit and the bell was rung. Your classic Eddie Guerrero finish. Didn’t they use instant replay on a previous episode though? Couldn’t they just review it? Whatevs. A chair outsmarts O’Shea. Wasn’t much of a match anyways, as they’ve had better encounters in the past.

– The opening video gave us a recap of ongoing storylines with talent we’d see on the episode – El Dragon Azteca Jr. wanting to prove his own legacy to Rey Mysterio Jr., Captain Vasquez’s new “Luchador” mission for Officer Reyes to go back into the Temple with a mask to continue his infiltration of Dario Cueto from the inside, Famous B’s proposal to guide Texano and Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo’s goal to take The Mack (his newest challenger) to “Slam Town,” since we last found out that they’d go at it for the belt in an “All Night Long” bout.

– The opening video highlighted ongoing storylines – The Mack’s Battle Of The Bulls Tournament victory which guaranteed him a future Lucha Underground Championship match, Paul London got jiggy with his Rabbit Tribe, Sexy Star and Mariposa were destined to meet again and Kobra Moon also had Drago hostage in her Dragon Chamber Of Doom or something like that.

A Famous Opportunity
– The opening video recapped current storylines – Angelico returned to cast revenge against Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo, only to have a restraining order against him. Cage and Texano battled in a Best-Of-Five Series to determine who’d get Dario Cueto’s “Ultimate Opportunity,” as Cage currently had a 2-1 lead. Jeremiah Crane wanted to get his hands on Mil Muertes, as a way to get back at Catrina, whom was a former love interest. Lastly and most interesting, after weeks of declining Vampiro’s advice, Prince Puma finally listened and paid Grave Consequences. In the afterlife, Vampiro called for him to follow.

– The opening video decently meshed together current storylines like the Battle Of The Bulls Tournament, Kobra Moon and her reptile tribe mates’ abduction of Drago and how Sexy Star earned her rematch against Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo as she defeated “The Darewolf” PJ Black.

A Worldwide Documentary
– The opening video highlighted Angelico’s airborne return as he sought revenge against Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo, who beat Sexy Star for the Title with help from his Worldwide Underground mates, one of which (“Darewolf” PJ Black) lost to Sexy Star after, which earned her a rematch (and bypass the Battle Of The Bulls Tournament) in a steel cage. Also shown was snippets of the Drago-Kobra Moon storyline.

The War Gets Settled
– The “Rock God” Ricky Gibson-Spyder Warrior match felt routine, but had a unique angle of no Mr. Tubbs at ringside. Despite that, it still felt seen before. It was portrayed early as an even affair before Gibson’s experience got him the advantage with long rest holds to break Warrior down. Gibson also showed nice confidence, as he posed over Warrior several times. While they gave Warrior some credibility in that he had the first Power Ballad attempt scouted (probably didn’t help that Gibson shouted the move’s name right before), but fell victim to the second. This was the most interesting thing they did with Gibson in months, as we’re left to wonder what the possible fallout might’ve been between him and Tubbs. Commentary made sure to raise it on viewer’s minds.
