The Vampire Obsession

– Cheap tricks and shenanigans were the name of the game, stemming from last week’s shocking ending where Mr. Tubbs played a physical factor in costing The Whirlwind Gentlemen the WCWC Tag Team Titles, allowing his boys, “The Rock God” Ricky Gibson and Greg Romero to be the new Champions.

Who Do You Love?

– This was our first glimpse at “Gentleman Brawler” Eric Right, who came out with his Brawler Brigade (a cavalry of mustachioed youth, if you will) and basked in the spotlight after being gone for a few weeks. He definitely has his own cult following from the West Coast Wrestling Connection faithful and that came through in spades. Think of NXT’s Vaudevillains gimmick, but with its own modern spin. On the other side, we had WCWC Legacy Champion Grappler III defending his gold, with the tall and mighty Kassius Koonz at his side. The Wrecking Crew regarded G3 as a “fighting Champion,” though in actuality, he was a cheating Champion. The in-ring work was decent to a point, with G3 working Right’s head, neck and arms at various points, while Right coined a late comeback that was all for naught thanks to Koonz being a slight physical distraction on the outside, which bided G3 time to take advantage and get the win. Smart way to keep G3 on the winning track and you have to wonder just who’ll take down The Wrecking Crew.

Gangrel And Konley Meet Again

– We commend the solid job of Todd Keneley (of past TNA fame) and Jeff Akin as commentators, making new viewers welcome to the growing phenomenon that is the West Coast Wrestling Connection. They opened up the show by hyping the big main event for the WCWC Pacific Northwest Championship – Champion Gangrel taking on “The Obsession” Caleb Konley. Damn, autocorrect’s relentless on not letting us spell Konley’s name with a “K.”

Can’t Stop The Wrecking Crew

– We kick off 2016 coverage by proudly adding the West Coast Wrestling Connection under the PWO banner. A little history on WCWC, started in 2005, is an organization based out of Salem, Oregon that airs its television show every Saturday at 11 PM on KPDX-TV in Portland, Oregon and uploads replays to its YouTube page every Monday at noon pacific time. It boasts a young, hungry roster upon a typical “indy show gym” look, but is quite professional and sleek in its broadcast presentation.
