Money Is For Marks
– The Last Knockout Standing match for the TNA Knockouts Championship between Champion Rosemary and Jade with Madison Rayne on commentary sparked things off as the two traded punches on the ramp. They set it up with last week’s decent segment. Jade performed a suicide dive and a few German suplexes. She was being walloped with a garbage can and asked for more. Would we get a Van Terminator spot from Rosemary? Yes. Jade powerbombed Rosemary onto the trash can. Rayne actually improved on commentary here, she added a lot to emphasize Jade as a thirsty challenger who has withstood other harsh matches. Jade jumped into the mist from the top rope and was hit with the Red Wedding. She got up at 8. RW on the floor now. She got up at 9, but way to miss it, camera. Sigh. Jade spit water at the Champ and connected with a powerbomb onto the steps. Ouch. Rosemary got up at 9. Jade attempted another powerbomb, but got spit with mist again. A third RW on the ramp. That’ll probably do it. It’s cool to see a female break out the F5, though it’s not quite as effective as Brock Lesnar’s. That was it.

Procure, Procure, Procure
– The opening video brought us to Cameron, North Carolina at the Hardy abode. Broken Matt Hardy sought the advice of trusty giraffe, George Washington on the Seven Deities demanding that he return to his Egyptian roots. In only the way a man and giraffe can communicate in the Broken Universe, this cracked us up. Next, Matt spoke to Vanguard 1 about rumors of his drinking problems. A freaking drone. Ha. Anyways, Brother Nero approached Matt, as he was informed that they’d be transported to somewhere unknown. Matt basically asked Nero to “house his abilities” in his vessel and to change things up, Nero had the premonition that Matt would go to Egypt and just like that, Matt disappeared. If you powered through those few sentences without any trouble, then this show should be just for your liking. In any other gimmick, this would burn, but the Hardys always make it work. It’s like a niche at this point.

Genesis 2017
– The TNA World Tag Team Championship Three-Way match between Champions The Broken Hardys, Crazzy Steve/Abyss and Bram/Kingston was about as formulaic as you can get in terms of putting a multi-team match together. With the Hardys on this “mission” to become the best team in space/time, it was hard to believe that they’d ever lose this, albeit it was a good attempt to establish other threats in the division. DCC will always be cheating pushovers and Decay are just crazy mofos. Not much of a story to tell, but they’re all here and want to wrestle and it’s Genesis (or Genesis-themed, they’d have you believe) so why not? There was also a good amount of hype towards the next week’s “Open Fight Night” episode, though with little structure introduced besides those goofy briefcases and the idea that anybody can be called out at any time. Isn’t that every wrestling show? Matt Hardy’s “pree-muh-nee-shun” that we’d see them “start a tag team revolution” was intriguing, but alas, it only opened the door for James Storm to drop a reference about that time he led a group of disgruntled midcarders in 2015. Not that 2017 is any different. Shaking our heads. Decay’s only vocal trophy was that they “eradicated Beer Money from TNA.” True as that could’ve been, that wasn’t much of a line. DCC held a briefcase, though we don’t remember what color or that it’ll actually matter. Same for “Nefarious Brother Nero.” On with the match, we suppose. With the silly tag-in scenario for a multi-man underway, the crowd was obviously into the Champs the most. DCC broke rules when they could and Decay was just crazy mofos again. That’s their thing. What don’t you get, child? Matt did break out this cool bulldog/clothesline combo on Kingston (not Kofi)/Steve. The finish was unfortunate for the decayed ones as Steve’s green mist went into Kingston and with not-Kofi out of the equation, Steve took a crazy Twist Of Fate from Matt, while Nero took care of everyone else. Don’t you love that?

Rexual Chocolate
– The opening video highlighted the Triple-Threat TNA World Heavyweight Championship match between Champion Eddie Edwards, Ethan Carter III and Bobby Lashley. They omitted the One Night Only: Live Pay-Per-View for reasons unknown. Davey Richards’ return prevented Lashley’s shenanigans as he helped his Wolves partner retain. Being that there were established conflicts between Richards/EC3 on ONO, weird that they didn’t even show that. Maybe they’ll follow up on it later.

The Decayed Crusade
– The opening video put over The DCC, as they took out Broken Matt Hardy and gave him amnesia upon a wild backstage brawl. We relived the journey by Matt’s family to jog his memory back, as they tried everything from footage, hypnotism and the Lake Of Reincarnation to no avail. Finally, it took Matt begging “the seven deities” to give him a sign before lightning struck him down and to Reby’s delight, Broken Matt was back. Those few weeks of Ice Cream Social/Engineer/Peach Cobbler Matt were fun, but the return was key to the next step in the war (should we call it that?) against The DCC.

A Broken Thanksgiving
– The opening video recapped last week’s events when TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards challenged The DCC and was joined by Jeff Hardy, one half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions. The faces begged management for the match and got their wish in No Disqualification rules. We all remember that classic – Kingston took a fireman’s carry onto the top of two seated chairs, Bram took Edwards out with a Brighter Side Of Suffering off the apron through a table and Hardy was taken out by James Storm with a Last Call superkick as the DCC emerged victorious.

Taste Of Chaos
– The opening video solidly recapped last week’s events, when we saw DCC’s evolution, as they vowed to take everything through control and chaos. They even gave Broken Matt Hardy amnesia. Those fools. Anyways, the trio shifted from “masked businessmen” to “businessmen” when we saw them unmask after an attack on TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards after he successfully defended against Eli Drake. They were revealed to be Kingston (Eddie Kingston of CHIKARA and Pro Wrestling Syndicate fame), Bram and James Storm. We saw potential in DCC as Broken Hardy Universe villains, but with those names, they might actually have something cool on their hands.

The Reveal
– The opening in-ring segment with Ethan Carter III, Eli Drake, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards, The Miracle, Maria and Moose was standard as far as what we’ve seen on the mic from all involved here, with the mission to push specific programs. Of course, we knew that Drake would challenge Edwards for the belt later as per his “Bound For Gold” briefcase. We also had Miracle and EC3 in a clash over who was rightful to challenge for the belt next. Everybody spent a good minute to put themselves over before Moose came down to commence the physicality. In the end, it was apparent this was used to hype the match to follow.

Moose Blood
– When we last left things with “Delete Or Decay,” it was the Broken Hardys who were left shattered, yet intact. The opening cutscene followed up on this, as Broken Matt Hardy discussed how his “platoon was nearly destroyed” with Vanguard 1 missing, Brother Nero badly beaten, Señor Benjamin kidnapped, Rebecca emotionally traumatized and King Maxel nearly abducted. There was a bit where Matt “rejuvenated” Nero in the “Lake Of Reincarnation.” Can’t make this stuff up, but it continued to poke fun at past TNA gimmicks, notably Jeff Hardy’s heel Immortal persona circa 2011, tacky belt and all. Hilarious stuff. The theme of the Hardys was Matt using Jesus-like healing powers to get his family back to where it was before DOD. We left here with the knowledge that Nero was back. Matt now set his attention to Señor Benjamin. That’s where we’d head to the arena.

Delete Or Decay
– While TNA still occasionally hands itself to its shortcomings like its portrayal of their slimmer-than-ever X-Division and Knockouts Division, this year has been about the brilliance of the “Broken” Matt Hardy gimmick. Over time, consistent, outlandish-yet-logical storytelling has gotten to include Jeff Hardy (“Brother Nero”), Reby Sky (“Rebecca”) and Maxel Hardy (“King Maxel”) in its own excellent way. The climax of it all seemed to be “The Final Deletion” that only ended up being the beginning to the Broken Hardys’ rise to the TNA World Tag Team Championships against the Champions Decay, as we were know ready for the second installment, appropriately titled “Delete Or Decay.” Just like TFD, we started with a Spanish-led disclaimer from Señor Benjamin about what we’d see unfold. We also were brought back into footage from last week that ended with Rebecca telling Benjamin to “prepare the battlefield for massacre.”
