Brother Vs. Brother
– “Big Money” Matt Hardy possibly had his career moment with his latest heel turn and following promo to close out last week’s show upon winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. As always, follow-up’s key. They addressed Jeff Hardy’s thoughts on it, who was purposely recommended to go to the hospital by Matt and his wife Reby before the match so he wouldn’t intervene in their plans. We liked how the show started with Jeff being approached backstage by cameras and addressing how Matt wouldn’t return his calls or texts and needed answers. Of course it was a little silly that in the midst of a serious search for explanations, he felt the urge to go paint his face first. This was a slick lead-in to the opening video which showcased Matt’s turn by resorting to low-blows, extreme Twists Of Fates and a hammer to finally become new Champion, turning Ethan Carter III babyface in the process, also gaining EC3’s former bodyguard, Tyrus.
TNA Bound For Glory 2015 Reaction
When you have a dud like Slammiversary, there’s nowhere to go but up, right?
While we had moments that brought back memories of that terrible night (ongoing audio technical difficulties, inexcusable announcing blunders, questionable booking decisions), the good news was that an excitable opener and final 90 minutes were enough to salvage the night for any wrestling fan.
However, TNA’s still TNA and it’ll take a while for them to move ahead of this show with any momentum, main event finish aside.
TNA Bound For Glory 2015 Preview/Predictions
It’s a safe assumption that TNA hasn’t had the brightest year, with the nearing end of their national television deal, loss of numerous talents because of their impending financial struggles and the list goes on.
That said, the last few weeks of TNA television have showed great potential for storylines, with the exception of the whole Global Force Wrestling invasion, which essentially was presented as “Jeff Jarrett and his band of goons take over,” which didn’t give us much of anything, but helped shape the main event as we see it now.
It’s a bit baffling that Jeff Hardy, a guy who’s arguably the most popular on the roster and was already involved in storylines with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Ethan Carter III for a few months, even with his brother also entangled, wasn’t the guy to get a Title shot on the biggest night of the year.
Instead, that honor went to upstart Drew Galloway (the former Drew McIntyre) and Matt Hardy, where Jeff will serve as special guest referee. We’ll be honest, it’s an okay main event, but if the plan is for Jeff to eventually become Champion anyway and both Matt and Galloway have already received (and lost) against EC3, what’s the point of holding off on it?
Yes, we know Jeff Hardy can’t come to the United Kingdom and TNA has a bigger audience overseas, but it only seems like the right way to go here, for a company that honestly needs the momentum. With both Hardys strongly rumored to join WWE by 2016, this could be the moment TNA regrets not booking Jeff in the match directly to win it.
All things considered, the card for BFG isn’t a bad one, but we can see where overbooking can mess it all up. If TNA just gives us straight out quality wrestling with distractions as minimal as possible, we can be talking about a show that actually gives the company some positive buzz.

Decisions, Decisions
– The opening video talked about Jeff Jarrett offering to run Impact when “The Law” Bully Ray was attacked (bet TNA feels stupid mentioning his likeness now), also looking at the attack on Drew Galloway backstage and PJ Black winning the King Of The Mountain Championship. Hyped were three random Championship matches – a three-way for the X-Division Championship with DJZ, Sonjay Dutt and Tigre Uno, Velvet Sky vs. Brooke for the Knockouts Championship (how did she earn that?) and Abyss/Manik vs. The Wolves for the TNA Tag Team Championships (same goes for them too).

Jarrett Struts Into Fame
– To the night’s credit: there was a fair amount of hype for the episode, as we got the big payoff match with Mickie James/Magnus against James Storm/Serena, what stipulation Matt Hardy would pick for his TNA World Heavyweight Championship match against Champion Ethan Carter III and of course, the biggie – Jeff Jarrett’s induction into the Hall Of Fame this year.

Can’t Fight The Law
– The opening video highlighted Ethan Carter III’s “reign of supreme” last week and how he got himself out of a Title defense against Kurt Angle, culminating in a verbal showdown with Dixie Carter where she said she knew who’d be in charge and EC3 wasn’t it, hyping the reveal of a new power. Tiny little bit of intrigue there.
