The Battle Of The Bulls Commences

– The opening video recapped Lucha Underground Champion Johnny Mundo’s journey to become Champion, as he uncrowned Sexy Star with help from Taya and his Worldwide Underground “bandmates.” We were also shown the moment where Angelico returned and vowed revenge against Mundo, to which the Champ apparently had a restraining order put forth. The “Ultimate Opportunity” Best-Of-Five Series between Cage and Texano was also shown where last left off, Texano staved off elimination and was still down two matches to one.

WMD

– Lucha Underground’s third season has shown potential to the throwback days of when it kicked ass in the first season, so we’d welcome more of that. The opening video focused on Dario Cueto as he reopened the Temple. Also highlighted was Famous B’s betrayal of his first client, Mascarita Sagrada in sinister fashion. We also were thrown back to the announcement of the “Weapons Of Mass Destruction” match to take place on the show between Killshot and Marty “The Moth” Martinez.

Six-On-Six

– The opening video showcased storylines this episode revolved around – the “Los Angeles Police Department” storyline where Captain Vasquez, Officer Reyes and Officer Ryan were on a hunt to take down Dario Cueto for good to the extent of a sting operation, the “Dragon Slayer” storyline that showed a rivalry between Drago/AeroStar and Jack Evans/”Darewolf” PJ Black and lastly, “Resurrection” storyline with the anticipated return of Pentagon Jr. after the man of “Cero Miedo” was put down uneventfully by Lucha Underground Champion Matanza Cueto.

Battle Of The Monsters

– With the Trios Tournament in full effect and several intriguing undercard storylines, it has been enough to deter us from Lucha Underground’s tame little monster, LUG Champion Matanza Cueto and his boring squashes. On this episode, we saw an impending clash between LUG’s two biggest forces – Matanza and former LUG Champion Mil Muertes in a rematch for the belt. The twist here was that Muertes stood as the lesser of two evils in this situation.

Rise Or Die Trying

– As Lucha Underground’s second season continues nods on, so do the semi-enticing storylines. They haven’t been as polished as last year’s, but with Dario Cueto back, we’re as close to “throwback” as possible. It might as well be Thursday. Hardy har har. Anyways, the opening video reminded us of Sexy Star’s affected state thanks to Marty “The Moth” Martinez and Mariposa, as well as Joey Ryan/Ricky Reyes working together as underground police officers in an attempt to take down Dario, while his brother Matanza has tightly gripped the Lucha Underground Championship, downing any challengers to this point.

Last Luchador Standing

– Lucha Underground’s Second Season hasn’t missed a beat thankfully, and the central plot so far was been Catrina (the new boss) doing stellar work to intimidate the rivals of Lucha Underground Champion Mil Muertes, while Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. butt heads all for the goal to face Muertes. Pentagon literally left his mark on Murrtes when he broke his arm and now Muertes sits on his epic throne atop the Temple in an arm sling and un uneasy expression.
