Treat Or Delete
– Nothing screams “Happy Halloween” like a visit to the Broken Hardy Universe. Thank god for this gimmick, because it makes holiday themes fun again. The opening video “documented” a “Hardy All Hallow’s Eve” gathering and a pumpkin patch that Senor Benjamin/Vanguard 1 composed. Broken Matt Hardy had another “pree-muh-neeee-shunnnn” that an outsider would come to the compound and deliver a looming message. Brother Nero also ate magical corn or something to that extent. This was awesome.

Fate’s A Funny Thing
– The opening video showed us some quick flashes from Bound For Glory, before we saw last week, how Lashley confidently talked himself into a Title defense, as TNA President Billy Corgan allowed him to choose between three opponents. Lashley chose Eddie Edwards (someone he once beat twice) and it backfired when Edwards cleanly defeated him. While we liked the idea that Edwards was the one to beat Lashley and it surely was an accolade, Lashley had built up so much momentum that when he lost, Edwards didn’t get the rub that he should’ve. Anyways, you can’t go back in time, so we were curious to see how they followed that up.

Delete Or Decay
– While TNA still occasionally hands itself to its shortcomings like its portrayal of their slimmer-than-ever X-Division and Knockouts Division, this year has been about the brilliance of the “Broken” Matt Hardy gimmick. Over time, consistent, outlandish-yet-logical storytelling has gotten to include Jeff Hardy (“Brother Nero”), Reby Sky (“Rebecca”) and Maxel Hardy (“King Maxel”) in its own excellent way. The climax of it all seemed to be “The Final Deletion” that only ended up being the beginning to the Broken Hardys’ rise to the TNA World Tag Team Championships against the Champions Decay, as we were know ready for the second installment, appropriately titled “Delete Or Decay.” Just like TFD, we started with a Spanish-led disclaimer from Señor Benjamin about what we’d see unfold. We also were brought back into footage from last week that ended with Rebecca telling Benjamin to “prepare the battlefield for massacre.”

An Untamed Wild Animal
– No better way to open the show than with “Broken” Matt Hardy, Brother Nero, Reby at a piano and King Maxel on his own keyboard busting out the “Obsolete” theme song with Señor Benjamin in the background at the Hardy household in Cameron, North Carolina. This was epic in its own way and set up things for later, as Matt had a “premonition” that he saw a member of TNA World Tag Team Champions Decay trespass their household and abduct Maxel and that he and Nero needed to head to the “zone of impact” immediately. Funny.

Ascension To Hell
– The opening video showcased one of TNA’s biggest draws at the moment – TNA King Of The Mountain Champion/TNA X-Division Champion/TNA World Heavyweight Champion Lashley and how he managed to get his way to uber-gold glory. It questioned what his next move would be, a smart way to look at things.

Title Vs. Titles
– The opening video looked back at last week, as Ethan Carter III overcame Maria, Moose and The Miracle’s shenanigans in the Finals of the TNA Bound For Glory Playoffs to become the guy who’ll main event BFG for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Mixed into it was a story of opportunity for TNA original/TNA King Of The Mountain Champion “The Cowboy” James Storm, as he had the first chance in five years at the World Title and we saw snippets of motivation behind his words. He would battle TNA World Heavyweight Champion/TNA X-Division Champion Lashley in a battle of “Title Vs. Titles” with two men fighting for three belts on the line. The stakes just get bigger, don’t they?

Tonight, Tonight
– As of this show, TNA’s biggest storylines were Ethan Carter III/Drew Galloway earning respective World Title shots (which would happen on this night), the continuation of the Hardy brother saga as Jeff outlasted Matt in Six Sides Of Steel with a definitive dive off the top of the cage and with Dixie Carter absent thanks to Billy Corgan, The Miracle was granted a shot at the TNA X-Division Championship (a plan to get to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship via “Option C”) and used cheating tactics to win the Title. This episode would advance all those storylines and more as we saw in the opening video.
