First Look: The NEW IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship pays tribute to Promotions that host Defenses

*The Following Press Release Was Issued By IWTV*

In a relatively brief amount of time, the IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship has emerged as a unifying force on the indie wrestling scene. Though the championship has only been around for a year and a half, in that time it has been defended 37 times in 15 promotions, in 13 different states, against dozens of different opponents.

Three wrestlers have held the IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship:

  1. Jonathan Gresham: 126 Days, 7 Defenses
  2. Tracy Williams: 309 Days, 17 Defenses
  3. Orange Cassidy: Current Champion, 13 Defenses

All of them have been excellent representatives of independent wrestling and their combined efforts have served to make the IWTV Championship what it is today.

Recently IWTV debuted a new title design for the Independent Wrestling Championship. This new design honors and reflects the history of the championship, as promotions that have hosted championship defenses are featured on plates affixed to the title. New plates will continue to be added as defenses are made in new places, making the championship an evolving monument to its own history.

Makaze vs. Surge – The Final Chapter

*The Following Press Release Was Sent By Dynamo Pro Wrestling*

APRIL 10TH, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Makaze vs. Surge – The Final Chapter

Dynamo Pro Wrestling is proud to announce an all-ages professional wrestling event on Saturday, April 20th, 2019. This professional wrestling event, sponsored by Slackers and Aries Screen Printing, will be held at the Concordia Turners Gymnasium, located at 6432 Gravois Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. Doors open at 7:00 P.M. with a bell time of 8:00 P.M. Adult tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. Tickets for children from five to twelve years old are $5. Tickets for children under five years old are free. Advanced tickets can be purchased at dynamoprowrestling.bigcartel.com.

In the main event, the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship will be on the line as Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion “The Wind of Destruction” Makaze will defend against former champion “Lights Out” Adrian Surge. For close to two years, these men have been intertwined in one of the fiercest rivalries in Dynamo Pro Wrestling history. On September 21st, 2018, Adrian Surge defeated Makaze to win the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship. After a vicious attack, organized by Makaze, Adrian Surge had to relinquish the championship and spent nearly five months on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.

Through manipulation and intimidation, on November 24th, 2018, Makaze regained the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship. Since regaining the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship, “The Wind of Destruction” Makaze has created a path of misery and destruction throughout Dynamo Pro Wrestling. At our last event at the Concordia Turners Gymnasium on March 30th, “Lights Out” Adrian Surge returned to Dynamo Pro Wrestling and demanded an opportunity to fight Makaze for the championship. Makaze agreed…but some severe provisions.  This match with be contested with no disqualification and the loser of the match must retire from professional wrestling.  Come out and experience the final chapter of this storied feud on Saturday, April 20th at the Concordia Turners Gymnasium.

Since 2007, Dynamo Pro Wrestling has strived to bring professional wrestling fans of all ages with hard hitting, fast paced, edge of your seat professional wrestling action. WWE WrestleMania 35 Preview/Predictions

By Nicholas Jason Lopez

NXT TakeOver: New York (or TakeOver: Brooklyn V?) came, conquered and impressed everyone in all its glory.

300-pound Heavyweight Hanson performed a handspring back elbow and a top rope senton to the floor, Velveteen Dream was the GODDAMN STATUE OF LIBERTY and the main event between Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole delivered more wows than a summer blockbuster.

To be frank – WrestleMania will pale in comparison to its NXT counterpart and that’s to put it nicely, despite the fact that Mania will run more than twice the amount of time and contain more than three times as many matches.

Below are our predictions to shape Mania into a halfway decent show. If you’ve followed the Raw side (without falling asleep), the build has been abysmal while SmackDown has held themselves together better thanks to Kofi Kingston’s journey, but there are still some flaws here and there.

Let’s get to it.

WWE NXT Takeover: New York Preview/Predictions

By Nicholas Jason Lopez

It has become yearly tradition that NXT trumps the main roster and this time around on professional wrestling’s biggest weekend, it’s set to happen again.

Two nights before WrestleMania graces New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, NXT “takes over” Brooklyn’s Barclays Center (yet again) and if history’s doomed to repeat itself (again), we’re in for a treat.

Compared to WrestleMania’s overbooked 15-match extravaganza, TakeOver’s refined to five simple bouts.

We’ll give our preview and predictions below.
